Registration Terms & Rules

In order to proceed, you must agree to the following:

Forum Terms & Rules:

1)Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

2)We will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'ooh look, yet another bulletin board' threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other boards.

3)*We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

If a password is needed, PM me.

5)*Forum Mods have the last say. Even if a forum mod seems wrong in a decision, they have a job to do. With that said, let them do their job.

6)*We reserve the right to edit/delete posts/threads/signatures at our discretion. Any post/thread/signature that we deem inappropriate for viewing will be dealt with accordingly. If you have any questions about actions taken against a post/thread/signature please PM the appropriate forum's Moderator or forum admin(s).

7)*By joining this forum You agree that you are fully responsible and legally liable for the content that you post or make through the use of your username and password. If your password is lost, you may generate a new password by clicking the "Lost Password" button in the forum. Only real e-mails addys will work. If it is stolen, contact The Administrator(s).

8)*Racially motivated hate will not be tolerated. Instant suspension or banning WILL occur.

9)*There is a search function at the top of the forum. It is possible to find what you are looking for without starting a new thread. But...We aren't very anal about that. So don't sweat it too much.

10)*Avatars and Sigs are permitted. However. There is a size restriction for both. Avatars should be no larger than 125x125 pixels. Sigs should be no larger than 400 pxs in width and 250 pxs in height.
Also. No sigs or Avatars can contain sexually explicit material or advertising.

11)*Staff members make the final call on any dispute. If you do not agree with the decision of any moderator, Send a message to a forum Admin.

12)Concerning the above rules. The forum has a warn system in place. You will be able to see your own warning points. If you are warned too many times, your account will be suspended or terminated.
Please note: Your account can be suspended or terminated at any time. Even if you have no warning points, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account...at any time.

13)*You must be at least 13 years of age to join, and or post at this forum. By joining you agree to be above that age.

[b]I know what you are thinking. "Rules suck."[/b] Right? Well.. I agree to a certain extent.
However. Some kind of order has to be maintained on any forum. After all. Without order, there is only chaos. In order to achieve a certain degree of order, rules have to be put in place. Without rules...the forum/community will fail.
This is a basic overview of the Super Hero Fan forums rules. These rules are subject to change, so check here as often as possible.

[b][color=orange]Staying On Topic:[/color][/b]
Always try to stay on-topic. Do not change the subject of any topic/thread that is already in progress. That is called "Hi-jacking" and it is frowned upon. However. If you get an idea for a topic/thread, feel free to start a thread of your own.

[b][color=orange]Consideration for others:[/b][/color]
One of the most important aspects of any forum/on-line community is respect and consideration for others. While debating and discussion is fine. We will not tolerate flaming of any kind. Arrogance, insults, or personal attacks are not accepted in posts. Our decision is final in these matters. If somebody has an opinion that you do not agree with. Do not resort to insults or flaming. Keep a cool head and present your case in a mature way. Trust me.. your argument will go a lot further. If by some chance, you can't resolve an argument, take it to some other chat service.

Yes... Shouting. Typing in capital letters on most forums is considered shouting. Please do not do it, as it is very annoying and obviously against forum rules.

Again...No flaming. Pretty simple, huh.

[b][color=orange]Trolling:[/color][/b]
Trolling is kinda like stalking. Only it's done on a forum. Trolling is not allowed.

[b][color=orange]Spam:[/color][/b]
Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts. Such threads/posts are considered spam. Advertising is also considered spam. Advertising of any kind is not permitted on the Super Hero Fan forums, unless you have explicit permission from the forum administrator. Linking from sigs is also advertising, and not permitted without permission

[b][color=orange]Bumping threads [/color][/b]
Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping threads.

[b][color=orange]Nudity/Sexual posts[/color][/b]
We do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate our terms of service/use or community standards. The SFF team, and jcink shall be the sole arbitrator of what does, and what does not violate community standards. If you have to try to decide if a post/thread is sexual in nature, it probably is. So don't do it.

[b][color=orange]Illegal activities/Discussion[/color][/b]
Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy or other intellectual property violations are not allowed on this forum.

[b][color=ORANGE]Swearing[/color][/b]
Please refrain from using any vulgar language that would offend someone. Shortcuts to vulgar language does not constitute no swearing. There is a word filter on this forum, but I chose not to use it. After all....there are ways around the world filters. So let me say this here and now. Forum staff will issue warnings for vulgar language, and shortcuts around such talk....with no warning.
